STYLE & DETAILS
Each of the mattress sizes is available in three possible styles, Firm, Plush or Pillow Top (sometimes called Euro-Top), and they all share the following features:
Coils (or springs) in the Doctor’s Choice mattresses are called Pressure-Response Zoned Coils and are engineered in such a way that they have alternating right turned and left turned coils. Denver Mattress indicates that this approach ensures support and helps eliminate pressure points. The coils are also individually wrapped providing motion separation – a good approach for couples. The coils are made from 14.5 gauge tempered steel and for a.Queen size mattress the coil count is 750.
The mattresses use high-density 1.8 lb foam that increases mattress durability and aids in the pressure point elimination. Mattress edge support is provided by a strong foam edge. The quilt layers of the mattress use micro denier jacquard ticking and a layer of the 1.8 lb density foam that is 1.5 inches thick. There is also a layer of soy based foam that is 1 inch thick (these foams are supposed to have a smaller environmental footprint). A fire barrier is provided by natural rayon.
There are differences, however, between the three firm, plush and Euro-top styles and they are all in the mattress comfort layers:
Firm
- Comes with a 1.5 inch layer of 1.8 lb density foam.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator
Plush
- Comes with 2 layers of 1.8 lb density foam. Each layer is 1.25 inches thick.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator
Euro-Top
- Comes with 2 layers of 1.8 lb density foam. Each layer is 2 inches thick.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator
Mattress depths vary and the sizes, as a result of the different comfort layers, are (based on Queen size):
- Firm (inches): 60 x 80 x 10
- Plush (inches): 60 x 80 x 11.5
- Euro-Top (inches): 60 x 80 x 13

PRICES & WARRANTY
Prices range from about $550USD for a Twin Firm mattress set (mattress and box spring) to about $1050USD for the California King Euro-Top mattress set.
Box springs are 60 x 80 x 9 inches (for a Queen size) and are included with every Doctor’s Choice mattress. The box uses heavy duty steel modular construction. Denver Mattress also indicates that if you use the mattress without its designated box spring you may void the warranty. In addition, they state that a box spring supporting a Queen mattress must have at least 5 legs touching the floor and a King mattress must have at least 6. If you do not ensure this it too may void your warranty.
Doctor’s Choice mattresses carry a 15-year non-prorated warranty. If you are not familiar with the difference between a prorated and non-prorated warranty you will want to read our Mattress Buying Tips. A non-prorated warranty is best.
