The Pediatric 2000 is a fairly basic crib mattress but it gets very good consumer ratings and is also reasonable priced. If you are looking for a decent mattress that won’t empty your wallet this one is worth considering. It is not that widely available anymore but it can still be found with a bit of searching. Parents like the fact that the mattress is firm yet still comfortable, and that it is sturdy and lightweight. This is an innerspring mattress and it uses 150 gauge steel coils that ensure firm support. The surface of the mattress has non-allergenic layers which provide both durability and comfort. It comes with a Perma-Dri cover that enables one to wipe the mattress clean with only a damp cloth. The cover comes in a white Windsor Garden pattern.
The mattress is 2-sided and has dimensions (L x W x H) 52” x 27.5” x 5.75”. It fits standard sized cribs as well as toddler bed frames. It is also very lightweight at about 10 lbs and several consumers have indicated that the mattress is easy to lift or move and it is also a simple matter to change the sheets.
This Kolcraft crib mattress is quite safe and its meets a number of standards and guidelines including federal flammability standards and current phthalates standards (as put forward by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)). In addition, the Pediatric 2000 does not contain any toxic fire retardents and it meets California Bureau of Home Furnishings Technical Bulletin 603 specifications.
The mattress carries a respectable 10-year manufacturer’s warranty on workmanship and materials.
