Sealy manufactures the Posturepedic mattress, the Embody mattress and have also recently taken over the Stearns and Foster line of mattresses. This crib mattress gets excellent customer ratings and because this mattress is quite popular, a fairly large number of ratings and consumer comments are available. For the most part consumers feel that this coil mattress is very comfortable and also well priced, however there are some that feel it is too soft and sometimes doesn’t fit well in the crib. Serta manufactures a memory foam mattress with a rather special approach. It uses gel beads inside the memory foam to increase support and provide additional cooling. The mattress does not appear to be widely available but we have seen it at a few retail outlets including Amazon where comments and ratings from owners are very good. Serta has been around since the early 1930’s and today the company is the second largest bedding manufacturer in the world. They also provide mattresses to hotel chains such as Hilton, Marriott, Intercontinental, etc. Like many other mattress manufacturers today, Serta has recently jumped on the memory foam bandwagon and their most recent offering in this arena is the iComfort series. Owners find the iComfort mattresses dense, comfortable and very breathable but they are rather heavy.
The Tempurpedic Celebrity Bed is fairly well liked by consumers however it is, like many Tempurpedic mattresses, quite expensive. People tend to like the level of comfort and support provided by the Celebrity but like a lot of foam mattresses there are issues related to heat and initial mattress odor.
