Simmons have a number of different crib and toddler mattresses but one of the more popular ones is the Simmons Kids Pampering Sleep Supreme 234 Coil Baby Crib and Toddler Mattress.  This Simmons kids mattress has a different sleeping surface on each side – one side for the baby and the other for when the baby becomes a toddler.  It also gets solid reviews from consumers.  [REF Simmons Mattress Reviews 2010]

A review of several quality online sources has yielded the following consumer ratings for this Simmons kids mattress: 

Consumer input is rather limited but the comments available indicate a fair degree of satisfaction.  There are a number of pros but few cons.

Features
This Simmons kids crib mattress is an innerspring mattress and it uses 234 interlocking tempered steel coils (15.5 gauge)  – thus the mattress name.  The mattress is also hypoallergenic and is made to limit the growth of mold, bacteria and dust mites.   One should consider that "hypoallergenic" is not a scientific classification however, but rather more of a marketing term.  It simply means that the mattress will cause fewer allergic reactions than a non-hypoallergenic mattress.  There is no body for "official" hypoallergenic certification.

In some corners – such as Costco – this kids mattress is marketed as the Simmons Kids Pampering Sleep Supreme 2-in1 mattress.  Other marketing material often alludes to this as a Sleep-4-Years Mattress.   These "descriptions" have to do with each side of the mattress providing a different level of firmness/support/comfort.  According to Simmons, one side uses a firm foam that creates a supportive surface best for a baby, while the other side provides a good combination of support and comfort (presumably less firm) for the toddler.  The idea behind the mattress is that you can simply turn the mattress over when your baby becomes a toddler.

The surface of this Simmons kids mattress is made with 100 percent vinyl and is thus wet resistant.  It is also fairly easy to wipe clean.   This mattress is said to meet or exceed all applicable safety standards – however it would be nice to see what these safety standards are but this information is not easily available. 

Dimensions in inches for the Simmons Kids Pampering Sleep Supreme 234 Coil Baby Crib and Toddler Mattress are (W x H x D) 27.25 x 6 x 51.63.  The mattress is not too heavy weighing in at about 17 lbs and it carries a lengthy 35-year limited warranty.
