Simmons Deep Sleep Mattress

Not to be confused with the Simmons Deep Sleep Twin Air Bed, the Simmons Deep Sleep series of mattresses are marketed as durable, comfortable and affordable.  These mattresses are indeed more affordable than the Simmons Beautyrest line.   They get respectable ratings from consumers but some still feel the mattresses are a little pricey. [REF Simmons Mattress Reviews 2010]

A review of consumer comments from several quality sources indicates the following common like and dislikes related to the Simmons Deep Sleep Mattress:

- Comfortable
- Not lumpy
- Provides good support

CONS
- Some comments that it begins to sag after a while
- Too firm
- Some folks feel it is too expensive

Several online sources have consumer ratings for Deep Sleep mattresses and these are shown in the table below.  In general the mattress series seems to be fairly well liked.

Note: It is very hard to compare mattresses as there is no consistency of model names from retailer to retailer.  This is often an area of immense frustration for the consumer as it does not allow effective price comparison but appears to keep the retailers happy. 

The Deep Sleep Mattress Series
There are four different Simmons Deep Sleep Mattress models - Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, and Series 4.  Each mattress has several features in common: no flip mattress, extra tall coils, damask fabric, knit fabric, and supported by the Triton box spring (supports up to 2000 lbs).  But note that the coils in the Deep Sleep mattress are not individually pocketed like the more expensive Simmons Beautyrest line.

Deep Sleep Series 1 Mattress
The Series 1 is the entry level Deep Sleep Mattress and it comes with all the basics and can be purchased in X-Firm and Euro Top.

Deep Sleep Series 2 Mattress
This mattress builds on the Series 1 providing additional edge support and a SuperSoft knit cover (in circular knit design).   There are a number of different mattress comfort/support option in the Series 2: Firm, Plush, and Pillow Top.

Deep Sleep Series 3 Mattress
The Deep Sleep Series 3 focuses on adding additional comfort to the mattress.  It does this using several layers of foam.  The series three can be purchased in Plush or Pillow Top.

Deep Sleep Series 4 Mattress
This is the highest level Deep Sleep mattress and it comes with visco-elastic memory foam (a material that moulds to your individual body shape and retains that shape to offer your body support where it needs it most - read our article on memory foam mattresses).  The Series 4 is available in 2 comfort/support options - Plush with Visco and Pillow Top with Visco.

The Simmons Deep Sleep mattress carries a 10 Year Non Pro-rated warranty.  A non-prorated warranty will allow a full refund for manufacturers defects, while a prorated warranty will only provide for a percentage of the original cost and this percentage decreases as the mattress ages.

jessica shelton - the simmons deep sleep 10 yea   | 66.59.104.238 | 2010-09-17 16:29:12 i bought a deep sleep 8 years ago the first one lasted 1 year replaced it 3 years ago with another deepsleep isnt worth crap and still under warrenty and broke down the man who sold me the bed is out of bussiness and i cant reach any one someone please give names and phone numbers so i can get a better bed Reply
