Some folks like it so much they use it for a permanent bed, although several indicate it is more comfortable if you add a mattress topper. Intex Raised Air Bed Features The top of the mattress is covered with plush waterproof flocking that provides a velvety surface – although a number of consumers indicate that the mattress is made much more comfortable with a mattress topper. The mattress measures 60 inches by 80 inches (queen size airbed) and there is an indentation around the outside of the mattress that allows fitted sheets to fit snugly. It should be pointed out that the mattress dimensions can change depending on the extent to which the mattress is inflated. Inflating and deflating the mattress is accomplished via a 120 volt AC built-in electric pump. The airbed comes in it’s own duffel bag (with a shoulder strap for portability) that can be used for storage when the bed is deflated. Some consumers have indicated that it is pretty tough to get back into the duffle bag however. This raised airbed is constructed of PVC and the electronically welded seams will support a maximum of 600 lbs (273 kg). It comes in navy blue.
