Denver Mattress

Doctor’s Choice mattresses are by the Denver Mattress Company and they come in a range of sizes and styles.  They are reasonably priced and popular pocket spring mattresses.   The company claims that because they make all the mattresses themselves, they can offer factory discounts up to 50 percent. [REF Denver Mattress Reviews]

SIZES
Doctor’s Choice mattresses by Denver Mattress come in a range of sizes including the following:

 Mattress  Size (inches)

 Full  54 x 75 x 10
 Full XL  54 x 80 x 10

2) The box spring for each mattress size is one piece with the exception of the King size units which have a two piece box spring.

STYLE & DETAILS
Each of the mattress sizes is available in three possible styles, Firm, Plush or Pillow Top (sometimes called Euro-Top), and they all share the following features:

Coils (or springs) in the Doctor’s Choice mattresses are called Pressure-Response Zoned Coils and are engineered in such a way that they have alternating right turned and left turned coils.  Denver Mattress indicates that this approach ensures support and helps eliminate pressure points.  The coils are also individually wrapped providing motion separation – a good approach for couples.  The coils are made from 14.5 gauge tempered steel and for a.Queen size mattress the coil count is 750.

The mattresses use high-density 1.8 lb foam that increases mattress durability and aids in the pressure point elimination.  Mattress edge support is provided by a strong foam edge.  The quilt layers of the mattress use micro denier jacquard ticking and a layer of the 1.8 lb density foam that is 1.5 inches thick.  There is also a layer of soy based foam that is 1 inch thick (these foams are supposed to have a smaller environmental footprint).  A fire barrier is provided by natural rayon.

There are differences, however, between the three firm, plush and Euro-top styles and they are all in the mattress comfort layers:

Firm
- Comes with a 1.5 inch layer of 1.8 lb density foam.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator

Plush
- Comes with 2 layers of 1.8 lb density foam.  Each layer is 1.25 inches thick.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator

Euro-Top
- Comes with 2 layers of 1.8 lb density foam.  Each layer is 2 inches thick.
- Also uses 1 Flex Net Insulator

Mattress depths vary and the sizes, as a result of the different comfort layers, are (based  on Queen size):

- Firm (inches): 60 x 80 x 10
- Plush (inches): 60 x 80 x 11.5
- Euro-Top (inches): 60 x 80 x 13

PRICES & WARRANTY
Prices range from about $550USD for a Twin Firm mattress set (mattress and box spring) to about $1050USD for the California King Euro-Top mattress set.

Box springs are 60 x 80 x 9 inches (for a Queen size) and are included with every Doctor’s Choice mattress.  The box uses heavy duty steel modular construction.  Denver Mattress also indicates that if you use the mattress without its designated box spring you may void the warranty.  In addition, they state that a box spring supporting a Queen mattress must have at least 5 legs touching the floor and a King mattress must have at least 6.  If you do not ensure this it too may void your warranty.

Doctor’s Choice mattresses carry a 15-year non-prorated warranty.  If you are not familiar with the difference between a prorated and non-prorated warranty you will want to read our Mattress Buying Tips.  A non-prorated warranty is best.

I bought the Dr's Choice Plush in Queen about 5 years ago. It was by far one of the best mattresses I have purchased. I did have a practically brand new Serta Plush that wrecked my back. It started sagging in the middle after 4 months and was detrimental to my back stability. The Queen size Dr.s Choice Plush is relatively firm without being hard as a board. It suits me just fine. I stayed away from the Pillowtop bc at the store it seemed like a giant marshmallow with no support. My mattress is on an approved base. I rotate it every few months and use a thin mattress topper. Recently I have noticed a bit more give to the middle of this mattress. I will probably shop for a foam topper. This Plush mattress in my opinion is firm and supportive while being comfortable and cooling. I have not felt the coils and it still is very sturdy. The mattress still looks brand new which I love :) I can fall asleep very quickly on it. I highly recommend it if you have back problems like me. I have severe arthritis and get slipped discs-not since I bought this Dr.s Choice Plush though. I tried the Dr.s Firm and it was very uncomfortable. Hope that helps.

Have had my king Doctors Choice plush for just over 8 years and it's been a great bed. I would definitely buy it again. Since it's a 15 year warranty mattress, I'm thinking of putting it onto an adjustable frame now, as I've developed some new back issues and am having some sleeping discomfort. Also husband snores and fights indigestion issues when lays flat.

Developed hives and angioedema after I purchased my doctor\'s choice mattress. Figured it out after 5 months of misery.

I bought 2 Queen sets. One of the worst purchases made. Less than a year later you can\'t sleep on the sagging mattress. I can\'t believe they call this a mattress. Warranty sucks! If you lay a broom handle on it & it sags more than 1 1/2\". they will replace it.
The foam makes sure it doesn\'t show the sag. I would NEVER BUY ANOTHER one.

Best mattress I ever had.

Sags terrible in 5 years, has to be replaced. Warranty ??????
VOTES:3
I bought this bed 6 mo ago and has sagged terrible where I sleep already. They say I have to do all this measuring and because I have a new 5 leg bed frame but didn\'t buy it from them,I have to measure all legs. Of course they know that the indent from where I sleep is not caused from uneven legs! It has to sag 1 1/2 inches to be replaced!!
VOTES:4
After less than 3 years the mattress is not fit to sleep on. The 15 year warranty is worthless, just try to get a response from the company. The words to me were \"we don\'t warranty the mattress if you decide you don\'t like it any more\".
I am sorry to say that I purchased 2 of these fine products. No one sleeps on the second mattress, it is still acceptable, only way it will last 15 years.
VOTES:3
After researching mattresses we chose a Doctor\'s Choice model. It developed major sags, to the point we either sleep in the bottom of the pits or hang on to the edges. Our previous mattress was relegated to a guest room. While it is about four times as old as the Doctor\'s Choice, it is still much more comfortable.

I bought a Doctor\'s Choice Euro-Top mattress about 5 years ago. I\'m a small person, yet I found the mattress sagging after about a year. I won\'t buy another Doctor\'s Choice.
